How to update software for motorcycle carplay?

We count the after-sales questions from our customers, and one of the most asked questions is how to upgrade the software for the motorcycle navigation carplay screen. The solution is below, if you have any other questions, please send us an email at “Contact Us”!

1. Preparation

Before the software upgrade, make the following preparations:

①Check device compatibility

Make sure your motorcycle navigation screen model supports the latest version.

② USB or TF card

2. Download the update file

Please be sure to check the file! The wrong update file is likely to cause the motorcycle carplay to die!

①Visit the official website!

Look for “Firmware”, “Software Updates”, or “Downloads”, or ask the official staff for the update file!

②Factory, such as Hisound Professional Factory. You can send us an e-mail to get the update file! (Same model)

3. Transferring Update Files

Moving update files correctly prevents the device from getting a “file not found” error.

①Ensure the USB/TF has enough memory and is clean. (If you are worried about it, you can format it or buy a new one.)

②Drag the update file directly to the USB or TF card, do not create a separate folder to store it (in case you can't find it later.)

③When unplugging the USB/TF, please use the operating system's “Safe Eject”, do not unplug it directly.

4. Install the update

①Insert the USB/TF into the socket of the motorcycle screen.

②Start the motorcycle and the motorcycle navigation screen turns on.

③Locate System → Software Update (menu names may vary, if in doubt send us a message or find your original seller or supplier).

Select “Update from USB”

④Confirm update

⑤Waiting for installation

If the update takes a long time or is stuck at a certain point. Do not power down or remove the drive. Continue to wait patiently, if after a long time it doesn't work please contact the seller/vendor/us!

⑥Automatic reboot

5. Check for updates

Open the system to check if the software version is updated to the latest version

Test basic functions such as music, map, carplay, brightness adjustment, TPMS, etc.

6. After the installation fails

①Check the USB/TF drive and redo it with a new one.

②Do not be nervous if the update fails to start! Power off and reboot, perform a factory reset on the motorcycle screen and re-update!
